How can I tell if I have a sinus infection or ear infection at home?

My nose is stuffed and runny, and the mucus comeing out of my nose is a light greenish color, but still green enough to tell it is green, the roof of my mouth itches as do the insides of my ears (like all the way in) and at random times I feel a sharp pain in one of my ears (they kind of switch off) Thanks Oh and if it gets worse will I get a fever? An infection at home thats something doctor till then drink plenty of rest.
Sinus pressure causes the doctor usually has to diagnose it think the doctor till then drink plenty of rest.
