Does anybody know how to get rid of a chronic sinus infection when antibiotics won’t work?
For about 1-1/2 years I’ve had a constant sinus infection. My doctor and allergist have tried numerous regimes of antibiotics but it never seems to go away. Can sinus infection cause other ailments?

Can you cure a sinus infection without antibiotics?
I’ve got what feels like/looks like (yuck!) a sinus infection. I bought saline drops and Mucinex D. I wondering if you have had an experience in clearing up a true sinus infection, and if you did, how?
You guys are so great – thanks for your help so far.

Without totally grossing everybody out – Here’re are the details (sorry): green boogies (ewe) when I blow, totally congested (I wish my nose would run), sinus pressure and headache.

Sinus Infection- Avoid Them Naturally
It is hard to believe this, but nowadays there seem to be more cases of sinus infection then when antibiotics did not exist. That does not mean that antibiotics are not good in treating a sinus infection. There are many other reasons why the number of sinus infection in people has gone up.
Sinusitis is the proper medical term for a sinus infection. when you develop this illness, the first thing doctors will do is put you on an antibiotics treatment. They are crucial in sinus infection because these drugs help kill the bacteria that has cause the sinus infections. Decongestants also relieve some of your sinus infection symptoms. However, after some more studies, doctors have come to the conclusion that medication alone is not the very best way to go when trying to cure a sinus infection. A person that suffers from a sinus infection also has to make sure that the mucus membrane and your sinus passages are functioning as they should and are healthy, in order to cure the sinus infection. Besides the treatment that the doctor will prescribe you to cure the sinus infection, there are some other natural treatments that must be taken. This natural way is good for a sinus infection case, because it can help the cilia stay healthy and function well. Furthermore, using some natural methods in cases of a
sinus infection is also a good thing, because it can stop the mucus from building up.
Hot liquids are very helpful in sinus infection cases, because they help unclog the sinus. Tea or soup are very good for the sinus infection as long as they are hot. Keep in mind, though that coffee is not very good in healing a sinus infection, even if it is hot. Warm compresses are also indicated when sinus infection is bothering you. They must be applied on your face about four times every day. Keep them for a few minutes, if you want to recover faster from the sinus infection. Irrigating the sinuses ia also very efficient when you have a sinus infection. To do that you must sniff a solution made of saltwater. This is very good for your sinus infection. Does being treated for a sinus infection cause your ears to feel like they’re stuffed with cotton?
Lucas M asked:
Is this a result of the drainage or what? My ears weren’t stuffed until I went into the doctor and got antibiotics for an apparent sinus infection. Experience would be helpful. Or some knowledge. Thanks.

What doctor should I see for sinus problems?
Tess asked:
Can I see an allergist that also specialises in sinus problems or should I see an ENT? I have a sinus problem/infection that is lasting over a month on antibiotics.
My GP referred me to an ENT in their clinic but I can’t get an appointment until mid April.
This started last August and I treated it some then let it go away on its own. It came back in November I treated it for a week. It went away and it came back in mid January and I have had it ever since. I have tried several different antibiotics and decongestants, etc.
