I have felt like this since Friday. My nose has been congested, which I know is a symptom. But I have a ear congested, and it feels block, is that a symptom of a sinus infection. I have been taking sudafed, but it does not really work. My main question is; Is having a congested ear during a sinus infection normal?

I’ve tried afrin and zicam, but you can only use them for 3 days. And Somtimes I take sudafed and tylonel sinus but you can’t use those all the time either. Every morning I wake up with sinus pressure probably due to allerigies, does anybody know how i can get releif for this once and for all ? thanks.

When my nose isn’t plugged up, my ears start to and then I hear them plugging up(as if I was in an air plane) I also feel as if something is in my head. I can tell whatever liquid it is, it’s moving, because sometimes it’s in my nose, and sometimes it isn’t. I’ve tried Sudafed Sinus Pressure tablets they don’t work.
Edit: Only on my left side. Right side is fine.

I’m currently dealing with an awfully painful sinus infection and the meds I’m on haven’t really kicked in yet. 800 mg of Ibuprofen works well for the pain temporarily, but it’s wearing off 3-4 hours before it would be safe for me to take more. Is there anything else I can try?
I should also add that my doc put me on an antibiotic and a prescribed decongestant/expectorant, so I don’t know if I should try other stuff like Sudafed or a nasal spray.
